SAFA Initial Training - Practical
Course content:
This practical training course should be taken subsequent to the Initial SAFA inspector training course. It is comprised of a half-day demonstration using an actual aircraft in a ‘simulated environment’ (i.e. aircraft parked at an airport ramp or maintenance hangar) and covers the practical aspects of a SAFA inspection. The remaining part of the day consists of an air-cargo facility tour. During the tour, cargo containers and pallets are examined with a focus on storage, labeling / documentation, segregation and securing.
Target audience:
Authority Inspectors responsible for SAFA ramp checks and NAA managers responsible for program management or supervision of a group of inspectors.
Prerequisites:
Successfully completed the Initial SAFA inspector training course or have the same level of understanding and knowledge i.e. general understanding of the SAFA program, inspection methodology and scope of the checklist.
Course goals:
Demonstrate inspection procedures including what to look for, where to inspect, and appropriate action to take in the event of non-compliance during a SAFA ramp check.
Course benefits:
