Luc Beaudoin

Director of Finance and Marketing

Luc Beaudoin joined SGI Aviation as a Senior Vice President in February 2008 with experience in Transportation, IT and Energy. He is responsible for business development, strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Beaudoin was CEO of youmove.ca, a Montreal, Canada-based IT startup he founded. The company developed a unique product designed to facilitate efficient residential moves. Mr. Beaudoin successfully leveraged funding investment for the venture while also leading product development, marketing and sales.

Prior to this, Mr. Beaudoin worked for Bombardier Capital in Burlington, Vermont (USA) in 2000 as a Risk Analyst. In this position, he provided comprehensive risk management services for aircraft, floor planning and real estate portfolios. In 2001, he moved to Berlin, Germany, for Bombardier Transportation, a leading manufacturer of rail transportation equipment. As a Senior Manager, he worked in strategy development while also leading mergers and acquisitions activities worldwide. He was directly involved in many joint ventures, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions in Europe, China, South Africa, and Russia. Before joining Bombardier, Mr. Beaudoin worked for the largest bank in Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, at the head office in Toronto, and in the trading department as an Energy and Currency Risk Analyst.

Mr. Beaudoin graduated with a B.Comm from the Université Laval in Quebec City and California State University in Fresno with honors. He earned a Master’s degree in Science, specializing in Finance, from Université Laval. He is currently completing a second Master’s degree in Business Valuation and Mergers and Acquisitions from York University in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Beaudoin also holds a Canadian Pilot License.
