SGI Aviation goes A380

SGI Aviation has, on behalf of German leasing firm Hannover Leasing, negotiated the technical part of the lease terms for an Airbus A380. The aircraft, operated by Singapore Airlines, was delivered new from the manufacturer after the initial delivery was deferred for a couple of months. SGI Aviation successfully assisted Hannover Leasing during the sale and leaseback on delivery of the aircraft. For both Hannover Leasing and SGI Aviation, it is the first A380 experience.
With Hannover Leasing, the aircraft will go into a unique program called `Flight Invest 49'. This fund will allow (private) investors to own a piece of this A380, which will operate for Singapore Airlines for a minimum of 10 years.
