Training Terms and Conditions

(SGI Aviation is hereafter referred to as 'the Organisation')

Registration, training fees and payment conditions

A training participant must register by means of the SAFA Training Registration Form. Upon receipt of this form, confirmation will be acknowledged through the issuance of an invoice. Booking is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. The invoice must be paid in full at least 14 calendar days before a course start date or no later than 30 days from the invoice date. In the event of complete payment not being received prior to the course start date, the Organisation reserves the right to deny access to the training course.

Cancellation of courses by training participant

In the event of a training participant cancelling his/her course booking, the following charges will apply:

• 4 calendar weeks prior to commencement of training course: No charge
• 2 – 4 calendar weeks prior to commencement: 50% of full training fee
• Less than 2 calendar weeks prior to commencement: Full training fee

Please note that cancellation of a training registration must be received in writing by SGI or by emailing to training@sgiaviation.com.

Cancellation of courses by SGI Aviation

The Organisation reserves the right to cancel its training courses for any reason. In this unlikely event, participants will be notified at the earliest opportunity and will receive a full refund of course fees paid. The Organisation will make all reasonable efforts to prevent courses from being cancelled but reserve the right to cancel, postpone or alter training courses at any time for reasons outside their control, including (but not limited to) illness, natural disasters, accidents, strikes, acts of terrorism, hostilities etc.

Any course fees paid will be refunded but the Organisation cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect loss suffered by the training participant due to a training course being cancelled.

Substitution policy

A registered training participant may be substituted by another participant without any additional costs. This substitution is possible up to one day before training course commencement. The Organisation should be informed by email to training@sgiaviation.com.

Transfer policy

Participants may request transfer of their registration to another training course. This may be requested once, 14 days prior to commencement of the training course and will be free of charge. In the event of the request concerning a different type of training course with an associated different training fee, the difference must be paid. Outstanding sums will be reimbursed.

Services provided

• Language
  Training materials and courses are presented in the English language. Translation of the course material and interpretation services can be arranged upon request.
• Course Material and Intellectual Property
  Participants will be provided with hardcopy full-color handouts of training course materials. Additional material may also be distributed which may consist of reference material, procedures, legislation and regulations, examples etc. Training participants are not permitted to scan or reproduce any such material without the Organisation’s explicit permission and not used to provide training to others - whether it is for profit or not - or make such material available to anyone who known or suspected to use it for providing training to other parties. All course material are the copyright either of the Organisation or a third party.
• Lunches & beverages
  Lunches and beverages will be provided during the training hours.
• Certificate of Attendance
  Following each training course, participants will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance.
