Contracts Manager

An opportunity has become available for a Contracts Manager in our Asset & Lease Management Department at SGI Aviation.

As a Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Contract Management: administer customers’ portfolios of aircraft and oversee all contractual obligations
  • Lease Compliance: check, monitor and manage lease stipulations and requirements and track critical events in order to ensure contractual compliance (monitor: insurance certificates, securities – Letters of Credit, financial statements, etc.)
  • Database Management: manage all relevant portfolio lease information in the corporate management system (CMS) and in SharePoint in line with the internal policies and procedures
  • Receivables/Reconciliation/Accounting: manage lessees’ accounts including: the collection of receivables; issuing monthly rental invoices; perform cash allocations; prepare and send out letters of demand and notices of default; and reconcile security deposits and lease payments in CMS
  • Internal & External Reporting: prepare and distribute reports in line with customers' requirements in order to provide internal and external parties with the relevant and up to date lease/portfolio data
  • Management of Transactions: including deliveries; re-deliveries; purchases and sale and lease novation; prepare and finalize the necessary documentation with the aircraft and engine manufacturers (i.e. CPs drafting and collection)
  • Other: participate in and manage various ad-hoc internal and external projects, report to VP Contracts and work closely with the Asset Managers, Technical Support Managers and Project Managers

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering or related field
  • 1+ years' relevant contracts or asset management experience within the aviation industry
  • Knowledge of airline operations, aviation and leasing companies
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Corporate Management System (CMS) or any other equivalent Asset Management system is a plus
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking). Proficiency in an additional language will be advantageous
  • Motivated and a pro-active team player with an ability to work well with people at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent preparation, organizational and communication skills
  • Problem solving and sound judgment in relation to contractual matters
  • Demonstrate social/cultural awareness and a willingness to travel
