VP Technical – Aviation Technical Services (Asia Region)

SGI Aviation is expanding its regional presence and seeking a highly experienced VP Technical to oversee complex aircraft transitions, inspections, and technical operations. Operating at the forefront of aviation consulting, you will drive project delivery across multiple jurisdictions, working alongside global lessors, airlines, OEMs, and MROs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage aircraft transition and redelivery projects from initiation to closure. 

• Coordinate and supervise technical services across airlines, MROs, OEMs, and SGI’s client base. 

• Ensure project scope and delivery milestones are aligned with SGI’s standards and client expectations. 

• Direct technical teams during technical records reviews and on-site physical inspections. 

• Act as the primary interface for clients, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and consistent service quality. 

• Monitor project profitability, track resource allocation, and maintain accurate billing status. 

• Ensure financial discipline by overseeing project-level budget control. 

• Identify and pursue opportunities for service up-selling while strengthening long-term client relationships. 

• Uphold SGI’s operational values and promote continuous service improvement. 

Your Profile: 

• 8+ years of proven experience in aircraft transitions, airline engineering, or aviation technical management. 

• Deep understanding of airworthiness and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA, CAAC). 

• Strong IT literacy and openness to digital tools, data systems, and workflow automation. 

• High adaptability to emerging technologies, including AI and digital records platforms. 

• Strong organizational capability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work cross-culturally and lead remote teams. 

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional language skills are advantageous. 

• Willingness to travel internationally as required by project assignments. 

• Based in Asia with flexible work arrangements.
