SGI Aviation extends leases on two Boeing 777-300ERs with Philippine Airlines

SGI Aviation has agreed lease extensions with Philippine Airlines for two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on behalf of its US client. The aircraft, MSN 29146 and MSN 29147, will remain on lease until November 2031 and February 2032, respectively.

“These extensions represent the most valuable lease extension transaction for any client in SGI Aviation’s history and secure the continued operation of two of the largest aircraft in our managed fleet,” said Paolo Lironi, CEO of the Amsterdam-based aviation asset manager.

Ted van Zundert, Head of Asset Trading at SGI Aviation, added: “We are delighted to have secured this outcome for our longstanding US client. Having transacted on 14 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft over the past five years, we bring substantial experience and expertise in this type of aircraft to our clients. The Philippine Airlines team has, as always, been a pleasure to work with, and we are proud to support PAL’s long-haul operations and future growth.”

Philippine Airlines is the Philippines’ flag carrier. The Boeing 777-300ER forms a core part of its long-haul fleet, supporting high-capacity international services to key North American markets.
